We are pleased to announce that Coogee Surf Life Saving Club has formed a strategic alliance with AusTriathlon and NSWTriathlon whereby our community event, the RunSwim Coogee Aquathlon (combining multiple runs and swims), is now a sanctioned event.
This partnership provides an opportunity for participants of our RunSwim event to gain information on how they can explore the world of multisport triathlons and add more healthy lifestyle racing to their list of activities they enjoy. In turn it promotes the event further to current NSW Triathlon members, creating greater exposure and local recognition for the event.
The newly sanctioned event will now be included on the ‘Event Finder’ page of the AusTriathlon website and featured across NSW Triathlon social media pages, newsletters and websites. This will create further local interest amongst Sydney-based triathletes for the RunSwim Coogee Aquathlon and expose more people to the surf club, our community and what we do!

Executive Director NSWTriathlon Adam Wicks commented, “This partnership is extremely exciting. We know Sydney’s East is home to 6 large and successful triathlon clubs all local to Coogee SLSC. We know our communities cross over significantly, all linked by their shared love of the ocean and swimming, running and having a healthy and sun-soaked lifestyle. The more we can work together, the better for all.”
Our next RunSwim Coogee event is scheduled for Sunday 5 May, 2024 and we’d love to see a big turnout for this important community event. For more details and to register, click here.
